We seek a dedicated individual to join our planning team to lead transit and multimodal transportation projects across the mountain west, serving clients such as transit agencies, state DOTs, MPOs, and cities in Utah and beyond. Our team is based in Utah, and we aim to expand our regional reach.
Responsibilities,Expectations, and Duties
- Lead and support transit and transportation planning projects, including transit alignment, mode analyses, PEL or NEPA planning, corridor and active transportation plans, and rural, tribal, small urban transit system plans.
- Research and implement innovative planning practices.
- Analyze transportation, land use, equity, transit, and economic data to inform planning recommendations.
- Communicate technical information effectively and prepare detailed deliverables.
- Support public engagement efforts through virtual and in-person outreach.
- Bachelor's degree in urban planning or related field required; master's preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience with client management and business development.
- Experience working with public transit agencies and public sector entities.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work independently and in teams.
- Proficiency in research, GIS, data analysis, visualization, and technical writing.
- Ability to create visuals for planning documents and presentations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
