Civil Engineer

Overview

We’re hiring a Civil Engineer to support land development projects from concept through construction. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers on site design, grading, utilities, and stormwater while building a strong foundation in permitting and plan production.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer who wants hands-on experience and a clear growth path toward becoming a Project Engineer / Project Manager.

• Support design of site civil plans including grading, drainage, stormwater, water, sewer, and erosion control
• Assist with site layout and plan production (base mapping, plan & profile sheets, details)
• Run calculations for stormwater management (hydrology/hydraulics) and prepare supporting exhibits
• Coordinate with internal team members and external stakeholders (survey, utilities, architects, agencies)
• Help prepare permit submittals and respond to plan review comments
• Compile project documentation and assist with technical reports as needed
• Participate in occasional site visits to observe construction progress and support field questions

Must-have

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
• 0–4 years of experience (internship/co-op experience counts) in land development/site civil
• Familiarity with grading, drainage, and utility design concepts
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (or ability to ramp quickly)
• Strong communication, organization, and willingness to learn

Preferred

• EIT certification or on track to obtain it
• Exposure to stormwater modeling tools (e.g., Hydro
  
  CAD, ICPR, SWMM, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS)
• Experience with permitting processes and coordinating with municipalities/agencies
• Understanding of erosion & sediment control and construction sequencing
