Windows Systems Administrator

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war‑fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow’s global challenges.

Evaluates system specifications, installs enterprise computer systems, configures systems, establishes standards, ensures hardware/software compatibility and maintains workstations and server systems focusing on the operating system and the network. We are seeking a highly skilled career professional with working knowledge and experience across Windows Operating systems and associated technologies. The ideal candidate is able to work within a group or independently, with minimal supervision.

This position requires intermediate to advanced working knowledge, skills and practical experience in the following areas:

• Windows 7 and Windows 10 desktop operating systems
• Windows Server 2008/12/16 implementation, configuration and maintenance
• Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SQL Server
• Large‑scale shared storage solutions (EMC SAM, Net App SAN, iSCSI devices)
• Windows virtual environments, including Hyper‑V and VMware
• Remote Desktop computing environments, including Citrix, Virtual Desktop, RDP, ICA
• High‑availability fault‑tolerant computing solutions
• Microsoft failover clustering 2008/12/16
• Microsoft domain services, including Active Directory, DNS, SCCM, Remote Access services and Distributed File Systems
• Blade‑based systems, physical desktop systems and Thin Client technologies (Wyse)
• Familiarity with security requirements such as JSIG/RMF compliance, system categorisation and documentation
• JSIG/RMF security controls selection, implementation, assessment and auditing
• JSIG/RMF continuous monitoring
• Secure communication through routers and switches

• Possess planning/organising skills and must be able to work under deadlines.
• Have specific experience in the use of Microsoft Windows Server environments and various CAD/CAM, database, Microsoft Office and web‑enabled applications.
• Possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems.
• Employee expected to routinely cross fields in the completion of somewhat difficult and varied assignments.
• Must be capable of updating or repairing computer systems.

A Bachelor's Degree in an associated discipline from an accredited academic institution or equivalent experience through technical training, completion of a recognised certification programme, or experience. Requires at least 12 years of experience in computer system related areas of expertise.

• Must have specific experience in the maintenance of operating systems and support applications in a centralised and distributed server environment.
• Possess planning/organising skills and must be able to work under deadlines.
• Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and possess a valid, state‑issued driver’s licence.

The expected salary range for this position is $93,600.00 to $ annually.
