Description
You will be the CSO/Mission Planner for an Advanced Development Program at Lockheed Martin. The role works with other Test & Engineering team members to ensure effective build‑out of developmental test requirements, including test plans, ground and flight test cards, reports, and matrices. You will also serve as a primary crew member during ground and flight test execution events.
What You Will Be Doing- Provide Flight Operations support as an aircraft Combat Systems Operator (CSO) and mission planner.
- Plan and execute experimental, engineering, and production acceptance flight tests to ensure compliance with specifications, operational suitability, and gathering of optimum test data to support customer requirements.
- Perform academic classroom training and aircraft ground and flight training for customer aircrew.
- Perform technical and mission planning, systems integration, real‑time troubleshooting, analysis, and evaluation of systems, and provide recommendations to improve the Human‑Machine Interface of aircraft and ground station functionality.
- Provide avionics expertise and support to engineering, design developmental teams, training, customer support and marketing teams regarding aircrew interfaces.
- Travel greater than 90% to remote locations; work onsite in Henderson, NV, often overnight.
- Frequent working hours exceeding 40 hours per week.
- Must be a US Citizen; position located at a facility that requires special access.

LocationThis position is based in Henderson, NV, with the facility in Las Vegas, NV.
Basic Qualifications- 10+ years operating large UAS under DoD instruction/regulations with 500+ hours minimum primary time.
- In-depth knowledge of military publications and understanding of NAS/ICAO requirements for large UAS operations.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of aircraft survivability strategies and tactics.
- Current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain program access within a reasonable period.
- Advanced UAS operations and integration experience.
- Current or demonstrated instructor experience from any DoD branch.
- Experience in flight testing with the ability to work with engineering to develop solutions to integration issues.
- Excellent communication skills, including briefing test results to executive leadership.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance level: TS/SCI.
