Sales Engineer selling fault monitoring equipment used by electric utilities for locating, predicting, and preventing grid faults.

The fault monitoring equipment:

• Finds fault locations within seconds and predicts potential problems before they happen.
• Optimize grid operations, reduce downtime, and enhance safety.
• Operates on medium and high voltage grids

• Expand sales throughout assigned territory by calling on electric utilities
• New customer acquisition
• Develop proposals for customers
• Attend conferences and trade shows

• Ideally based in the Western US or willing to travel extensively to the area.
• 5+ years of experience selling to the electrical power industry particularly in US power grid technologies used on distribution and transmission systems
• Ability to teach and relate ideasor concepts to individuals with varied levels of experience
• B.S. Electrical Engineering degreeor equivalent experience in the field of electric power engineering
• Experience in working with network protection, automation & control devices, IT and data communications

Salary up to $150,000 (DOE) with total compensation potential of $200,000+
