Civil Engineer – Las Vegas, NV
The ideal candidate will participate in and contribute to a diverse range of engineering services in a team-oriented environment, providing public and private clients with professional engineering services for transportation, site, and stormwater engineering design. The work is often fast-paced with multiple ongoing projects and deliverables, requiring strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills for working in multiple group settings, and a strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed.
Responsibilities- Producing CADD design of drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Producing preliminary and final design plans for multiple jurisdictions
- Performing hydraulic calculations for erosion countermeasures and stormwater design
- Performing water and sewer analysis for sewer and water main infrastructure design
- Creating site civil plans including grading and utility design
- Preparing construction cost estimates
- Reading and interpreting agency standard drawings and specifications
- Creating technical reports
- Assisting in preparing technical specifications
- Assisting in preparing documents for federal, state and local permits
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Engineer Intern Certification
- 3 – 6 years of civil engineering experience, including either site civil, roadway or drainage design
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D software and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Project)
- Professional Engineering registration in Nevada is a plus
- Experience with Hydro
CAD, HEC‑RAS, HY‑8 and other hydraulic modeling software including Water
CAD for pressurized network systems - Experience with Nevada jurisdictions
