Introduction

The role is part of the Vehicle Development team, focusing on maintaining the operational uptime of our fleet. The position requires a technical expert who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, document troubleshooting processes meticulously, and provide real-time support for daily operations.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, focusing on perception systems and sensors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with low/high voltage circuits, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), and safe troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of hardware and software systems architecture, communications to support in an operations setting.
  • Embraces a holistic problem-solving approach to identifying issues with high-level vehicle functions and drive specific resolution into single components.
  • Self-starter, ability to build relationships across the company.
  • Ability to comprehend schematics, electrical diagrams, connector end views/pinout.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with electric vehicle technology.
  • Experience with remotely supporting vehicle troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics tools.
  • Experience with Linux & Python-based programming systems for fleet-level data processing.
  • Experience with software that interfaces with hardware.
  • Familiarity with networking, TCP, and socket programming.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations for sensor-related fleet issues.
  • Conduct in-depth root cause analysis through comprehensive log review to identify and resolve fleet issues.
  • Develop, update, and maintain a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for technicians, incorporating newly diagnosed faults and their resolutions.
  • Perform hardware bring-up and validation procedures for new sensor components (LiDAR, radar, cameras, etc.).
  • Design and implement diagnostic procedures to streamline future troubleshooting processes, focusing on sensor calibration and data integrity.
  • Historical review of vehicle/fleet data, including sensor data, identifying trends and issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering design teams to enhance tooling and improve issue detection capabilities.
  • Develop and implement effective countermeasures across the fleet to prevent recurring issues.
  • Define and capture essential data points to validate issue resolution and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance and reliability.
  • Availability for overtime as needed, with advanced notice provided.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S. to support various operational locations.
