Overview
Energy Environmental Group (EEG) is a full‑service environmental consulting firm specializing in permitting, inspection, and compliance monitoring for high‑profile construction projects. We are looking for an Assistant Environmental Manager to lead a team of specialists on a high‑voltage transmission line, substation, and telecom facilities project in Nevada.
Responsibilities- Assist the Environmental Manager in leading and mentoring the team of environmental specialists.
- Ensure the team adheres to all environmental regulations and standards set by federal, state, and local agencies, with a focus on BLM requirements.
- Communicate environmental restrictions and concerns with construction management, crews, and schedulers to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Help develop and implement project compliance plans, including SWPPP, SPCC, dust management, and reclamation strategies.
- Provide support to construction teams during pre‑construction, planning, and permitting activities.
- Assist in conducting environmental impact assessments, site evaluations, and risk assessments.
- Manage acquisition of essential environmental and local permits, ensuring compliance with all conditions.
- Coordinate with the Owner’s environmental team and CIC to obtain necessary variances.
- Work with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to address environmental concerns and ensure transparent communication.
- Implement and oversee environmental monitoring programs, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports for agencies and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize environmental impacts.
- Provide ongoing training and guidance to the team on environmental best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of environmental compliance experience, preferably in the transmission line or energy industry.
- Experience conducting pre‑construction surveys, SWPPP inspections, and biological monitoring.
- Experience working with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, especially BLM.
- Relevant certifications (CISEC, CESSWI, CPESC) are advantageous but not mandatory.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

- Ability to conduct environmental assessments and prepare detailed reports.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in GIS, field data collection, Microsoft Excel, and Word.

- Self‑control, composure under pressure, and strong attention to detail.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
