The Project Scheduler (Specialist) is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated project schedules across the Nevada Projects portfolio. This role ensures a consistent, high‑quality approach to planning and scheduling, supporting coordination between the Owner’s team and EPCM contractors.

The Scheduler provides schedule oversight, risk identification, and performance tracking to ensure project milestones are achieved and project execution remains aligned with timelines, budgets, and overall project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development & Integration
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) using Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Mining, Procurement, Sustainability, and Permitting teams to incorporate inputs into the overall project schedule.
  • Support development and maintenance of the Basis of Schedule in coordination with EPCM partners.
Schedule Monitoring & Analysis
  • Track progress against baseline schedules and identify deviations, risks, and potential delays.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Assess schedule impacts related to design changes, scope modifications, and execution challenges.
Project Controls & Cost Alignment
  • Support alignment of schedule and cost forecasting, ensuring consistency between schedule (WBS) and cost structures (CBS).
  • Work with EPCM and Project Controls teams to ensure accurate cash‑flow alignment based on schedule progress.
  • Collaborate on improving systems and processes to integrate cost and schedule forecasting.
Reporting & Communication
  • Prepare project schedule updates, dashboards, and performance reports for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Highlight schedule variances, risks, and corrective actions in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Support development of presentations and project reporting deliverables.
  • Capture as‑built schedule data and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to development and standardization of planning and scheduling practices across Nevada Projects.
  • Ensure compliance with AGA’s End‑to‑End Capital Management processes and project governance frameworks.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of planning and scheduling principles.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6 preferred, MS Project).
  • Understanding of project controls disciplines including cost control, estimating, and change management.
  • Ability to integrate data from project management, procurement, and construction systems.
  • Familiarity with mining operations, capital projects, and infrastructure development.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret trends and identify risks.
  • Effective use of communication tools, RACI frameworks, and stakeholder engagement processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field.
  • PMP certification (or working toward) preferred.
  • Knowledge of mining methods, equipment, and operational constraints is an advantage.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, or related roles.
  • Experience in mining, heavy industrial, or large capital projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices in project planning and scheduling.
