Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you a Project Manager with experience supporting substation, transmission, distribution, or utility capital projects? We're seeking a highly motivated professional to help drive the successful planning, execution, and financial performance of major utility infrastructure programs.

This position plays a critical role in managing project controls, cost forecasting, scheduling, risk management, and executive reporting across large-scale substation and electric utility construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, Estimates at Completion (EAC), and cash flow forecasts
  • Track project costs, commitments, change orders, and contractor expenditures
  • Review major construction contracts, contractor deliverables, and milestone payment schedules
  • Monitor project contingency usage and identify potential cost overrun risks
  • Maintain project risk registers and facilitate regular risk review meetings
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules to support successful project execution
  • Perform cost and schedule analysis to support capital planning and investment decisions
  • Review vendor invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor expenses
  • Support monthly accruals, cost transfers, and financial reporting activities
  • Prepare weekly and monthly executive-level project reports
  • Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and critical path activities
Qualifications
  • Experience with substation construction, expansion, upgrade, or greenfield development
  • Experience with utility, power generation, renewable energy, or electrical infrastructure projects
  • Strong project controls knowledge including cost management, forecasting, scheduling, and risk management
  • Experience working with EPC contractors, utility owners, engineering firms, and construction teams
  • Familiarity with capital project execution and large utility construction programs

Candidates do not need to have experience in every area listed above. We’re looking for professionals with a strong foundation in project controls and utility project execution who can quickly learn systems, processes, and project-specific requirements.

If you’ve managed the cost, schedule, and execution of substation or utility infrastructure projects and are looking to join a team delivering critical electrical infrastructure, we’d love to speak with you.

Apply today or message me directly for more information.
