BMM Testlabs is the world’s longest-standing independent gaming test laboratory, trusted by regulators, suppliers, and operators across the globe. We are seeking a Senior Technical Compliance Engineer to serve as a technical authority on gaming regulations and standards throughout North America.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced gaming compliance professional to influence how emerging technologies are evaluated, interpreted, and tested across one of the industry’s most respected organizations. You will work directly with regulators, engineering teams, and industry stakeholders, helping ensure that gaming innovations meet the highest standards of compliance, integrity, and quality.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Be the Technical Authority:
- Interpret and apply gaming technical standards and regulations across North American jurisdictions, including:
- GLI standards (GLI-11, GLI-19, GLI-33, and others)
- Nevada Gaming Commission and Nevada Gaming Control Board standards
- State, provincial, and tribal gaming regulations
- Analyze complex or unclear requirements and develop defensible technical positions.
- Engage directly with regulators to obtain clarification on emerging technologies and evolving compliance challenges.
- Serve as the escalation point for technical compliance questions from engineers, managers, clients, and regulatory stakeholders.
Drive Compliance Excellence:
- Lead the development and maintenance of compliance checklists, test methods, interpretation guidance, and supporting documentation.
- Assess the regulatory impact of new gaming technologies, delivery models, and platform innovations.
- Maintain authoritative regulatory knowledge and ensure technical content remains current, accurate, and traceable.
- Conduct peer reviews and provide expert feedback that strengthens compliance consistency across the organization.
Support Business Growth & Regulatory Readiness:
- Monitor and evaluate regulatory developments across North America.
- Communicate operational impacts and implementation strategies to leadership and technical teams.
- Participate in regulator meetings, industry working groups, conferences, and standards discussions.
- Support market expansion efforts by evaluating new jurisdictions and identifying gaps between regulatory requirements and existing test methodologies.
Champion Quality & Accreditation:
- Support BMM’s accreditation programs and quality systems, including ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17065 standards.
- Participate in audits, assessments, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help ensure the consistency, integrity, and defensibility of technical compliance decisions.
- Guide and mentor compliance and engineering professionals on standards interpretation and regulator communications.
- Develop and deliver training on new regulations and significant standards updates.
- Elevate technical rigor and knowledge-sharing across the organization.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Equivalent gaming regulatory or laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum5 years of hands‑on experience
with gaming industry technical standards or regulatory compliance in North America. - Experience gained within a:
- Gaming regulatory agency
- Licensed gaming supplier compliance or engineering organization
- Strong working knowledge of the GLI standards series and at least one major North American regulatory framework.
