Overview
The Drop Team Manager is responsible for overseeing all Count Room and drop operations in full compliance with Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations, ensuring regulatory standards are consistently met or exceeded. This role provides direct leadership of day-to-day Count Department activities, maintaining the integrity, security, and accuracy of all cash-handling processes while fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence. The Drop Team Manager is also expected to model professionalism and personalized guest service that reflects the Company's brand standards and core values.
Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership and accountability for all scheduled drop and count operations, ensuring strict adherence to Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations, internal controls, and approved timelines.
- Direct, oversee, and validate the secure collection, transport, and handling of slot machine bill validators, table game cans, and all other drop materials from gaming and non-gaming departments to the Count Room.
- Ensure the accurate counting, recording, reconciliation, and reporting of all slots, table games, hotel, food and beverage, and NRT cash and chip drops.
- Partner with Cage leadership to verify all sources of cash and chips, ensuring proper documentation, reconciliation, and compliance with segregation of duties requirements.
- Oversee coordination with Revenue Audit to ensure timely upload, submission, and verification of slot and table game drop data.
- Review, analyze, and resolve variances, discrepancies, or exceptions identified during count processes, implementing corrective actions in accordance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with all security, surveillance, dual-custody, and access control protocols to safeguard assets and maintain operational integrity.
- Oversee the operation, functionality, and maintenance of Count Room equipment, coordinating service and repair needs as required.
- Provide oversight of NRT cassette counts, cage verification, and refilling processes in accordance with cage specifications and regulatory standards.
- Lead, train, and hold Count and Drop Team personnel accountable to accuracy, compliance, and performance standards.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, integrity, and cross-department collaboration within the Count Room and across Casino Operations.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion in identifying, documenting, and escalating suspicious activity, irregularities, or control failures to Casino Operations, Compliance, Surveillance, and Security leadership.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a casino count room environment; 5 years of experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and develop teams while enforcing accountability and compliance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations related to drop and count operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read, understand, and adhere to Company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications and other Company-required systems.
- Ability to accurately operate a 10-key calculator.
- Strong mathematical aptitude, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as required by position duties.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Registration card.
- The ability to submit to and pass a background check and drug test is required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of bags of cash and chips.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, kneel, crouch, and bend.
- Ability to work graveyard shifts.
- Ability to speak effectively and clearly.
- Use hands to handle objects and operate machinery.
- Ability to be exposed to smoke and noise levels between moderate to loud on the casino floor.
