Position:
Supervisor of Audio Systems

The Supervisor of Audio Systems will operate and maintain the production audio system, oversee in‑house mixing, coordinate with Sphere Studios for audio file implementation, and facilitate audio discussions with outside productions. The role involves pre‑production meetings, event planning, and supervising audio crew throughout performances.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with production managers to schedule and manage stagehand audio crew, including union and non‑union labor.
  • Oversee installation of audio front‑fils per event specifications.
  • Manage operation of audio systems for entire events, ensuring proper control board operation and programming.
  • Implement audio changes under direction of the Director of Audio Systems.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair of audio equipment; keep records up to date.
  • Accommodate artist and event A/V requirements.
  • Assist with technical advance with artist representatives.
  • Interact with visiting production crews to ensure successful shows.
  • Maintain care, handling, and inventory of rental audio equipment.
  • Schedule and meet audio needs for special events.
  • Communicate work rules for union & non‑union labor.
  • Troubleshoot event‑day issues and respond to emergencies.
  • Oversee transition from event activities to load‑out of equipment.
  • Operate, program, and maintain playback and specialty audio systems.
  • Provide exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members while adhering to appearance and presentation guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 60 credit hours of college‑level coursework or equivalent certifications or trade school coursework.
  • 7+ years of experience in audio design, technology, or engineering for film, television, live events, or themed entertainment.
  • Technical knowledge of production audio systems, including Ravenna, Dante, AES
    67, digital audio consoles, Meyer Sound, Q‑Sys, Smaart, etc., and experience working with union & non‑union crews.
  • Strong organizational, time‑management, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Problem‑solving, reasoning, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use sound business judgment.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Professional, open, and positive relationships with diverse groups.
  • Integrity, tact, diplomacy, commitment to company values.
  • Computer‑aided drafting skills or ability to read construction drawings is a plus.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Special Requirements
  • Extensive standing, walking, keyboard usage, and general administrative duties.
  • Physical labor required: load‑in/load‑out of events, flying PA, working at height, running cable; must be able to carry and lift 50 lbs or more.
  • 100 % onsite role.
  • OSHA 30‑Hour training course completed.
Salary

Hourly Pay Range: $58 — $58 USD
