Role: he Cage Cashier is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing financial transactions for patrons and internal departments. Duties include cashing all types of checks in accordance with established guidelines; issuing and receiving markers; and recording all checks, marker issues, and marker payments in the computerized tracking system. The Cage Cashier redeems gaming chips, conducts currency exchanges, and provides new patrons with check ‑ cashing and credit applications.
This role also requires securing, documenting, and safeguarding all recordable transactions involving company assets, balancing assigned banks at the end of each shift, and maintaining a basic working knowledge of Title 31 regulations. All job responsibilities must be performed satisfactorily and in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and service standards. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience handling large amounts of cash in a regulated or high ‑ volume environment.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and management.
- Strong basic math skills with the ability to accurately count, verify, and reconcile large sums of cash.
- Demonstrated ability to make correct change using coin and currency with speed and accuracy.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy and compliance in all transactions.
- Ability to understand, follow, and comply with all company, departmental, state, and federal gaming rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, including Title 31 requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial and patron information.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work cooperatively with other departments while delivering excellent guest service.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and accurate in a fast ‑ paced, high ‑ volume environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience using cage ‑ related equipment, including computers, jet sorters, currency scanners, calculators, telephones, and standard office equipment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by casino operations.
- Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Provide the highest level of professional guest service while maintaining strict adherence to gaming regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
- Conduct all interactions with guests, coworkers, management, and interdepartmental personnel in a professional, ethical, and compliant manner.
- Function as an effective team member while maintaining individual accountability for assigned funds, assets, and transactions.
- Count, verify, and assume responsibility for assigned bank at the beginning and end of each shift; accurately complete, sign, and submit a Cashier’s Count Sheet in accordance with internal control procedures.
- Open and close assigned banks only with a second employee verification conducted under approved surveillance coverage, as required by control standards.
- Immediately document any bank variance by completing an Over/Short Form at shift end, including a reasonable explanation for any variance exceeding $10; obtain supervisory authorization for any variance of $50 or more.
