Position Assistant Production Manager

The Assistant Production Manager will support and report to the Production Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations, event production, and building needs. Additionally, this role involves maintaining the desired atmosphere of the venue, coordinating and producing events, and serving as the production lead as needed.

The Assistant Production Manager will oversee the production process, coordinate all activities and operations, and manage the overall event flow. In addition, they will adhere to all safety guidelines and collaborate with the Production Operations Manager in repairing any damaged equipment. This position also involves handling administrative tasks, including but not limited to processing payroll allocations, maintaining schedules, and fostering positive relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the practice and procedures related to all areas of event production, event set up, tear down & changeovers.
  • Implement AREA
    15's emergency response plans when necessary.
  • Follow event and venue operating policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit a professional attitude at all times.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Act as Manager on Duty/House Manager throughout the entire day of the event, managing and coordinating overall event flow, staff, and contractors.
  • Ensure quality assurance throughout the production process.
  • Manage the production team and schedule to ensure timelines are maintained and deadlines are reached.
  • Process payroll and ensure timecards are accurate for labor reporting.
  • Maintain and build schedules based on the needs of the business for day-to-day operations, productions, and event production and execution.
  • Plan, schedule, direct, and execute production activities.
  • Maintain an effective and professional working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, tenants, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
  • Work according to established standards and policies set by AREA
    15 leadership.
  • Exhibit ART! (AREA
    15's service standards) at all times.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA
    15 standards.
  • Cultivate a professional team atmosphere.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
