The Financial Aid Officer is a critical compliance and student-support role responsible for managing the end-to-end funding process for aspiring healthcare professionals. Operating in a high-volume, regulated environment, you will serve as the primary point of contact for students navigating Title IV federal aid, VA benefits, and institutional payment plans. Your goal is to ensure that every student file is accurate, compliant, and fully funded, allowing the campus to maintain seamless enrollment and high retention standards.

Key Responsibilities- Guide & Advise:
Conduct detailed student interviews to assess financial needs and determine eligibility for federal/state grants, loans, and VA benefits. - Streamline Processes:
Package financial aid awards, complete verification for ISIRs, and ensure 100% compliance with DOE, VA, and institutional policies. - Support Students:
Provide hands‑on assistance with FAFSA completion, payment plans, and complex documentation (citizenship status, Pell over payments, and default resolutions). - Collaborative Enrollment:
Partner with the Admissions team to resolve student no‑shows, track funding status, and ensure a seamless start for every cohort. - Compliance & Accuracy:
Audit student files with precision, update institutional financials, and document all aid disbursements accurately.

You don’t just see a "default" or "flagged ISIR" as a roadblock; you see it as a puzzle to solve so a student can stay in school. - Service‑Oriented:

You take pride in "clean" files. You understand that in Financial Aid, accuracy isn't just a goal—it’s a regulatory necessity. - Adaptable:
You can pivot quickly when Department of Education regulations shift or when a high‑volume enrollment period requires extra focus.
- Experience:
3+ years of experience in a Financial Aid office environment. - Title IV Knowledge:
Proven expertise in federal student aid programs, including grants and loans. - Technical Literacy:
Proficiency with DOE systems (NSLDS, COD, etc.), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace. - Compliance Background:
Solid understanding of VA benefits and institutional packaging policies. - Education:
High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Hourly Pay: $20.80 – $24.96 per hour.
