We are recruiting for a dynamic, hands‑on, and strategically minded Director of Accounting to lead their financial operations and support their continued nationwide growth. This is a high-impact role perfect for a leader who excels at transforming complex financial data into actionable business insights.

Position Overview
  • Position: Director of Accounting
  • Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 / year (Commensurate with experience)
  • Location: Las Vegas, NV
  • Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Director of Accounting will oversee the daily operations of our accounting department, ensuring financial data integrity and operational efficiency across 20 distinct entities
. In addition to managing a dedicated accounting staff and a complex multi‑entity month‑end close process, you will serve as a key partner to executive leadership. You will directly drive corporate forecasting, budgeting, and labor reporting processes to optimize our profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and efficiency.
  • Daily Operations: Oversee all day‑to‑day accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management.
Multi‑Entity Close & Financial Reporting
  • Consolidated Close: Own and manage the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes for 20 operating entities within Net Suite
    , ensuring timely and accurate consolidated financial statements.
  • Process Optimization: Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline the close cycle across all entities without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and local, state, and federal tax regulations while coordinating internal and external audits.
FP&A & Advanced Labor Analysis
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive the annual corporate budgeting process and coordinate with regional managers to align expectations. Develop and scale robust rolling forecasting models to project cash flow, revenue, and expenses.
  • Workforce Intelligence: Design, generate, and analyze workforce and labor reports utilizing data from Paycom
    . You will monitor workforce efficiency, overtime tracking, and project‑based labor costs to provide critical visibility into our primary operational drivers.
  • Executive Insights: Deliver variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget/Forecast) to executive leadership to highlight trends and identify cost‑saving or revenue‑generating opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/management role (e.g., Accounting Manager, Controller, or Director).
  • Multi‑Entity Expertise: Proven experience managing the financial close and consolidations for a complex structure involving 15+ entities is highly preferred.
  • Net Suite Expertise: Hands‑on experience utilizing Net Suite for multi‑entity accounting, consolidations, and financial reporting is highly desired.
  • Paycom Expertise: Direct experience working with Paycom for payroll processing, labor allocation, or data extraction for workforce reporting is highly preferred.
  • Excel: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, financial modeling).
  • Industry Context: Experience in construction, or project‑based industries where labor reporting and workforce cost analysis are critical is a massive plus.
  • FP&A Acumen: Strong background in building financial models, driving forecasting cycles, and managing annual budgets.
  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to drill down into complex labor and financial data to find the "story" behind the numbers.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
