General Ledger Accountant- Las Vegas

Vaco is working with a client in Las Vegas, NV who needs a GL Accountant to join their growing team. The GL Accountant will perform journal entries, perform balance sheet account reconciliations, support multi-entity financial reporting, and contribute to audit activities and financial analysis. This is a direct hire position that is 100% onsite and paying up to $85k per year.

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process across multiple business units.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including prepaid expenses, accruals, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets.
• Support the timely and accurate completion of financial close activities while ensuring transactions are properly categorized.
• Assist with financial variance analysis and account reviews for management reporting.
• Maintain supporting documentation, schedules, and work papers to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate transaction cutoffs and proper period-end accounting.
• Support special projects focused on process improvements, system enhancements, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Participate in testing and implementation of new accounting technologies, automation solutions, and process optimization tools.

• 2–4 years of GL accounting experience in a mid-size company or multi-entity environment
• Proficiency in a cloud-based ERP

Determining compensation for this role at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The salary range for the role is noted in this posting.
