Financial Manager, Financial Compliance, Financial Analyst
Responsibilities
As CFO at Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center (Las Vegas, NV), you will lead financial strategy, performance analysis, and reporting for a 339‑bed acute care facility.
- Maximize hospital financial performance by analyzing profitability of operations, product lines, and contractual agreements; recommend improvements and act as a change agent to reduce expenses and variation in processes.
- Participate in the hospital financial reporting process and supervise the preparation of reports outlining the hospital’s financial position and operating profit‑and‑loss statements.
- Prepare and file federal, state, hospital association, third‑party, and other financial reports in a timely manner.
- Develop employees through effective management practices, creating a motivating climate, coaching staff, providing feedback, and building commitment.
Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of GAAP, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, federal and local tax regulations; comprehensive understanding of all business office operations from registration through discharge and patient bill resolution.
- Knowledge of managed‑care and payer processes, negotiation terms, and accounting processes including accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting; ability to prepare accurate financial statements and operating reports.
- Proficiency in interpreting financial analysis, preparing schedules and reports, and manipulating data in spreadsheets and proprietary databases such as ACCESS or ECLYPSIS.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of packaging information and concepts to enhance understanding by others.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field and minimum 10 years of progressive financial experience, preferably in a healthcare organization.
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is preferred with a minimum of 8 years of progressive financial experience (healthcare strongly preferred).
