Position: SENIOR FINANCIAL OFFICE SPECIALIST
ABOUT THE POSITION

Business License

The Clark County Department of Business License is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Senior Financial Office Specialist position in the Revenue & Compliance Unit. This position performs a variety of complex, technical, and specialized financial office support functions, requiring the use of independent judgment and initiative. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and the ability to meet stringent deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

The candidate should also be proficient in basic software applications, including Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs, as well as the department's core Business License software. The selected candidate will be part of the team responsible for transitioning the department's core software to a new financial system. As such, the candidate must be adaptable, open to change, and committed to supporting staff throughout the transition.

Public Works

The Clark County Public Works Department is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Senior Financial Office Specialist position. As a member of our team, you will perform complex, technical, and specialized financial office support work. The ideal candidate will work closely with all Public Works divisions, other County departments, other County agencies, as well as the department's vendors. Responsibilities include providing direction on funding, reviewing financial documents, reconciling projects, perform research and provide the results of this research to the team and management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

Equivalent to graduation from high school AND four (4) years of full-time accounting or financial office clerical experience. Professional level experience and/or education that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application.

Licensing and Certification:

Specified positions may require possession of a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License at time of appointment.

* Performs difficult or complex accounting or financial office support work and assists with special projects as assigned.
