- 6:00 p.m., Mon-Thurs The term of this appointment will be a maximum of 36 months and Limited Term (LT). All persons hired into Limited Term (LT) positions will be required to sign a term of employment letter specifying conditions of employment.

The ideal candidate would be well organized with strong multitasking and customer service skills; be able to work effectively in a high-volume and fast-paced environment while being project driven. The ideal candidate would have the ability to process technical data and legal requirements regarding right of way issues, such as interpreting the legal property owner through title examination; and researching and interpreting the terms and conditions of a real property document.
INTRODUCTION:
Human Resources will screen applications and supplemental questionnaires. Candidates possessing the strongest skills and experience for this position will be forwarded to the hiring department for further evaluation and to determine who will be invited to the formal interview process. The candidate hired will be required to pass a drug screening, background check, and may be required to pass a job-related physical evaluation.
** GENERAL PURPOSE
** Under general supervision, performs a variety of responsible technical and public contact activities related to acquisition, management, sale or disposition of rights of way and real property for District/SNWA water supply facilities; and performs related duties as assigned.
** DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
**** Knowledge of:
** Concepts, methods and techniques for appraising property and establishing market value; methods and techniques for property recordation and property record search; federal, state and local laws and regulations applicable to land and easement acquisition by public agencies, including condemnation and eminent domain proceedings; basic principles and practices of property and contract law, including detailed legal descriptions; basic terminology, methods and practices of water facilities engineering design, land use planning, land surveying, mapping and construction processes;
principles and practices of sound business communications.
** Ability to:
** Process technical data and legal requirements regarding right of way issues; understand and apply federal, state and local laws and regulations applicable to right of way processes; read, interpret and create engineering drawings, sketches and legal descriptions; research and accurately establish property ownership; prepare clear, concise and comprehensive documents and reports; communicate effectively orally and in writing; use tact, discretion and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive situations and concerned property owners;
establish and maintain effective working relationships with District managers, staff, consultants, other governmental real estate personnel, property owners and others encountered in the course of work.

Experience:
** A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in business or public administration, engineering or a related field; and two years of increasingly responsible real estate and/or right of way acquisition experience (preferably in a public agency setting); or an equivalent…
