The Division of Public and Behavioral Health:
Radiation Control has an opening for a Radiation Control Specialist 2 in Carson City and Las Vegas, NV. The position will determine compliance with State and Federal Regulations pertaining to radiation; inspect and investigate compliance involving radiation sources and radiation producing devices. The position is specifically responsible to license, inspect, and investigate ionizing radiation sources statewide to determine potential hazards to the public;

implement radiation control regulations adopted by the Nevada State Board of Health pursuant to NRS 459 (radioactive materials/X-Ray). In addition, the position will be responsible for continued development of radiation producing machines program inspection procedures, program regulatory analysis and development, and program staffing.

Salary: $64,414.80 - $95,630.40 Annually
