Overview
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our laboratory operations by conducting tests, analyzing samples, and maintaining lab equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and accuracy. A Film Manufacturer Lab Technician performs tests and analysis on raw materials, in-process products, and finished films to ensure quality and consistency, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean lab environment.
Key Responsibilities- Testing and Analysis
- Conduct tests on film materials, including raw materials, in-process products, and finished films.
- Perform tests to evaluate material and product quality (e.g., pH testing, water testing, particle size analysis).
- Use and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Analyze data and report findings.
- Quality Control
- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and address deviations or issues in the manufacturing process.
- Documentation and Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of tests, results, and procedures.
- Prepare reports and documentation as needed.
- Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Analyze samples using microscopy, spectrometry, chromatography, and other analytical methods.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
- Document and record all test results accurately in logs and databases.
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and specimens for analysis.
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
- Assist in the research and development of new testing procedures.
- Handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials according to regulations.
- Collaborate with scientists, researchers, and other lab personnel to support ongoing projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality control standards.
- Other Duties:
Assisting with the development and improvement of products and processes; providing technical support to other teams; staying updated with industry trends and advancements.
- Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field. - Experience:
1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting (preferred but not required). - Proficiency in using laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pipettes, spectrophotometers, and chromatographs.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory guidelines (OSHA and GLP).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:
Laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals, biohazards, and specialized equipment. Full-time or part-time, depending on the employer's requirements. May require flexible hours, including weekends or evening shifts. - Other:
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations; ability to follow procedures and protocols.
