Nevada Peer Specialist

Peer Specialist Certification required.

Location

Las Vegas, Nevada. Must reside in Nevada.

Shift

Monday through Friday.

Work Schedule

In office 2 days per week: 8:30am-5pm.

Virtually from home 3 days per week: 10am-6:30pm.

Hybrid 1:
This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance.

Role Overview

As Nevada Peer Specialist, you will coordinate and manage care focused on the wellness and recovery of members.

How you will make an impact
  • Identify opportunities for engagement of members and their families in forming a supportive, recovery network.
  • Develop and implement onsite psychiatric discharge planning education at Recovery and Resiliency sites.
  • Collaborate with Stabilization Teams as a member advocate in discharge planning education, resolution of barriers, and service transitions.
  • Act as a resource for staff on decision making and problem solving.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with assigned individuals and providers to determine member's response to services.
Minimum Requirements
  • Requires AA/AS and minimum of 2 years of experience in health services or behavioral health field or in a peer support services role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Peer Specialist Certification required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences
  • Knowledge of care-coordination and case management concepts strongly preferred.
  • BA/BS or MBA preferred.
  • Experience with telephonic work is preferred.
  • Technologically proficient candidates are strongly preferred.
  • Crisis intervention and de-escalation experience is highly preferred.
Salary & Benefits

For candidates working in person or virtually in Nevada, the salary range for this position is $22.50 to $33.74.
