Job Title:
EHS Specialist Job Description
Model and reinforce a positive safety culture across all teams and contractors.
Support site leadership in communicating safety initiatives, policies, and performance expectations.
Facilitate daily or weekly safety engagements, toolbox talks, and safety observations to encourage safe behaviors and hazard awareness.
Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory standards.
Support the implementation and maintenance of required permits, plans, and records.
Conduct scheduled compliance reviews to identify deficiencies and corrective actions.
Regularly identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks through hazard assessments and job safety analyses.
Develop and support corrective action strategies to address identified risks.
Track and trend incident data to anticipate future hazards and implement preventive measures.
Conduct routine site inspections focusing on equipment, processes, and worker behaviors.
Perform comprehensive EHS audits with documented findings and improvement recommendations.
Follow up on inspections to verify corrective actions and ensure sustained compliance.
Audit environmental-related matters and provide improvement guidance.
Provide detailed audit reports, safety metrics, and root‑cause analysis where applicable.
Offer recommendations for operational improvements aligned with best industry practices.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including training enhancements and process optimization.
Provide regular updates, consultation, and strategic guidance to the site lead.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address safety issues and implement solutions efficiently.
10+ years of HSE experience
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
Proficiency in safety, OSHA, safety programs, audits, compliance, EHS, health & safety, and environmental health
This is a 6‑month contract‑to‑hire position located in Las Vegas, NV, United States. The work schedule consists of 5 days a week, with 10 hours each day and an additional 10 hours of overtime per week with time and a half. The position requires a strong focus on regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and proactive safety leadership. The EHS representative will reinforce company safety culture, ensure adherence to applicable regulations, and drive continuous improvement in risk‑reduction initiatives.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $63.00/hr.
