How You Will Contribute To The TeamUnder the direction of the Social Services Director, our Licensed
Social Worker (LSW) will assist in the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. You will assist each resident and their family in adjusting to placement, illness, and the plan of care, ensuring they attain the highest practicable level of functioning.
- Bachelor s degree in the related field
- 2-3 years of related field work experience in social services
- Ability to develop and maintain a care plan with the facility s interdisciplinary team
- Ability to work with physically and mentally ill, disabled, and emotionally upset elderly individuals
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and be discreet
- Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Experience with geriatric population
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to think strategically and exercise discretion and independent judgment to make logical, practical decisions
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Sufficient computer skills to manage records and documentation
