Summary

The Apprentice Bartender is responsible for servicing the guests in a courteous and professional manner, while assisting bartenders throughout the course of business. This role ensures bar areas are always cleaned, organized, and properly stocked with prepped ingredients.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome all guests in a professional manner.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar area.
  • Ensure the bar is properly stocked with supplies necessary for service.
  • Replenish ice coolers, garnish trays, straws, and napkin holders.
  • Ensure bar equipment and supplies are clean and in working order.
  • Anticipate the guests  needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
  • Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job-related operational tasks and review company documents, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Preferred
  • Basic understanding of bartender work and/or drink preparation.
Minimum Education And Experience
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • At least six months experience working in a similar bar or restaurant setting
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Position required licenses
