POSITION SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Guest Room Attendant to clean and service the guest rooms and bathrooms. All duties are to be performed in accordance with Departmental and Property Policies, Practices, and Procedures.
Top 5 Specific Job Functions- Clean all guest rooms to hotel standards, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, wiping down or dusting all surfaces using the proper chemicals, cleaning Air Conditioning filters, and vacuuming
- Reports unusual room conditions or rooms in need of repair
- Reports the correct status of rooms clean/unclean, vacant/occupied via the in-room phone system
- Reports all Do Not Disturb/Refuse Service rooms to the Floor Manager on time
- Replenish all guest amenities, such as soaps, lotions, shampoos, tissues, coffee, coffee amenities, and information folders as needed

- Place clean bath mats on tubs and/or shower doors, and clean towels on shelves
- Follows all safety policies and guidelines of the Department, Company, State, and Federal authorities
- Utilizes safety equipment as required
- Must follow all SDS chemical requirements
- Completes all duties in accordance with the room classification checklist
- Load the Guest Room Attendant (GRA) cart with cleaning supplies and linen
- Fold linen for the GRA cart
- Push a fully loaded GRA cart to transport supplies between guest rooms

- Ability to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke
- Ability to maneuver and maintain control of the housekeeping cart
- Excellent customer service skills
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
- 6 months or more of customer service experience
- 1 year or more of Guest Room Attendant experience
- Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language

- Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required. Indoor temperatures are moderate and controlled by internal environmental systems.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and noisy environment.
