Universal Horror Unleashed is a terrifyingly unique experience that will bring haunts to Las Vegas year-round. Located at Area 15 is the heart of horror – we would love to have you haunting alongside us! With the nature of this experience comes a unique working environment. You will find yourself working in dark environments around special effects including strobe lights, fog, artificial smells, and more.
The working hours will be unique, typically spanning over late evenings/nights and weekends (holidays included). This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
Responsible for supporting the Food and Beverage operation at Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU) by assisting Food & Beverage (F&B) Management in the day-to-day coordination of business operational activities, procurement of materials/supplies, maintenance of menu collateral and new menu items, seating charts, and reservation system templates. Partners with Assistant Managers to coordinate and ensure an efficient operation of Team Member Dining and mobile food and drink ordering (MFDO).
Creates and prepares daily checklists and designates daily work tasks for Team Members. Ensures all F&B Team Members are properly trained in safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service and reporting/audits are completed in compliance with Nevada Health Department inspections.
- Supports the Food & Beverage operation by organizing daily operational tasks, coordinating placements, and supporting Team Member Dining initiatives and system issues with MFDO. Partners with front line F&B Team Members to inform on key operational changes to ensure a seamless operation in alignment with Nevada state specific requirements and Universal standards. Maintains and updates all F&B collateral, seating charts, and menus to ensure the accuracy and show quality standards.
Responsible for updating and maintaining floor plans, reservation system templates and pre-shift communication talking points. - Researches, documents, and reports on POS transactions for accuracy, discrepancies, and routine audits. Informs UHU Leadership of any discrepancies in accordance to established procedures. Coordinates and communicates Veritiv audits and records and tracks all health inspections. Assists with communicating and compiling of food safety quality control of allergies to the appropriate teams following all UHU and Nevada policies and regulations.
- Assists in the Food & Beverage operation as needed by providing exemplary guest service at all times. Maintains awareness of potential service cues that could lead to a positive service experience. Performs opening and closing duties such as assigning daily tasks to front line F&B Team Members, responds to escalated Guest situations as necessary, ensures the proper flow of the operation, and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Assists with overseeing the completion of training checklists and partnering with F&B Management to ensure a Team Member is fully signed off in all safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service, following all Nevada food safety handling requirements. Provides daily “in the moment” feedback on training initiatives. Supports training new and current Team Members on food and beverage policies and procedures and continuous learning initiatives.
- Provides assistance with administrative functions of the Food & Beverage department including, but not limited to equipment inventory, product assistance, sourcing, onboarding, coordinating regulatory training, compliance reporting, and audits of Nevada required licenses. Assists with compiling new information related to Area
15 initiatives to drive the revenue of F&B initiatives. - Supports food and beverage related information for special events, catering requests and reservations for private events and lounge area. Communicates with partners to coordinate functions including securing space, discussing menu options, confirming number of guests, determining price of menu items, special menu themes, etc.
