As a Host in our iconic venues, you'll be the first to welcome our guests into our restaurant and live entertainment venue. You'll greet guests, manage reservations and waitlists, and escort them to their seats, creating a welcoming atmosphere. As the ideal candidate, you'll have fun sharing your passion for music by creating engaging and memorable guest experiences.
- Greet all guests promptly with a smile and welcome. Assist with venue directions as needed. Thank guests for their visit and warmly invite them to return. Communicate guest feedback and concerns to management.
- Manage incoming guest flow. Estimate and communicate wait times, and escort guests to appropriate areas (e.g., tables, bars, elevators, stairs, waiting zones, or retail sections).
- Provide guidance to guests, including details of upcoming events.
- Maintain waitlist to maximize service efficiency. Communicate ongoing logistics such as wait time, large parties, special events, etc. to restaurant management.
- Walk with guests while escorting them to tables, present menus, and wait for guests to settle before leaving the table.
- Maintain cleanliness of the retail floor and host podium areas, and public areas by dusting, sweeping, emptying trash, and cleaning windows.
- Follow sanitation procedures as required by health regulations in both public and back-of-house areas.
- Attend pre-shift meetings and complete defined opening, running, and closing duties.
- Comply with all company issued steps of service. Follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- 1+ years' experience in guest service, sales, and cash handling preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills required
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks with efficiency and composure
- Basic mathematical aptitude for cash handling and transaction processing
- Able to work during peak times, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to support business needs
Licenses / Certifications
- State Food Handler Safety Card required upon hire
- Non-Gaming Work Permit Card required upon hire
Physical Requirements
Speak and hear to communicate with guests and use both near and distance vision for operating the POS system, reading SKUs, and completing merchandising tasks. Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items. Frequently climb stairs throughout the venue and use ladders to access storage areas. Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and occasionally sit, kneel, bend, and reach to stock merchandise.
Continually use gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills for computer use and merchandising.
Working Conditions
Restaurant/bar/live music environments, with large crowds and elevated noise levels.
