Job Summary

The Live Nation Concerts Division fosters a fun and upbeat work culture with opportunities ranging from quality service to growth in the live music industry. The Guest Relations role supports the vinyl room and host area, ensuring a welcoming experience for all guests, managing seating, handling tickets, and promoting upcoming shows and merchandise.

What This Role Will Do Guest Relations
  • Greet all guests promptly and courteously in a professional manner
  • Control the flow of guests coming into the restaurant and those who are waiting for a table
  • Hospitality zone
  • Obtain guests' name, number in party, physical description (units that use the pager system), arrival times and any needs for children when applicable
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs (guest satisfaction)
  • Direct guest to appropriate location to wait when on a wait
  • Estimate and quote accurate wait times for tables
  • Lead guests to tables, place menu on table for guest, wait for guests to be seated before leaving the table
  • Marketing current and future shows, menu items, and retail by placing all marketing literature on dining tables
  • Properly answer guest questions regarding the menu, music hall, and artists appearing at the House
  • Foundation access list, industry access, and dinner reservation sheets for that evening and passes if needed
  • Pick up guest lists for any special events
  • Handle concert tickets and signature sheet
  • Obtain Production sheet for current night
  • Obtain current member and spouse lists
  • Check foundation membership card and photo
  • Adhere to HOB dress code policy of the foundation lounge
  • Hand out wrist band and/or opera box passes
  • Thank each guest for visiting the Vinyl Room, and invite him or her to return in a friendly and sincere manner
Communicate With Other Support Departments
  • Coordinate with door host, kitchen, and Vinyl Room Managers to ensure proper flow
  • Notify kitchen staff when large parties or special event parties are seated
Atmosphere (Maintenance/Cleaning)
  • Keep the host area clean and organized throughout the shift
  • Maintain a spill‑free, food‑free, and obstacle‑free floor in the host area
  • Polish and clean all entry door windows consistently
  • Maintain appropriate par levels for kid menus, crayons, fliers, matches, toothpicks, and calendars at the host stand
  • Monitor line of sight and overall atmosphere by circulating the area during the shift
  • Follow House of Blues safety and sanitation standards
Assist Other Departments As Needed
  • Assist employees and departments as required, demonstrating teamwork
  • Follow standard operating procedures and attend pre‑shift meetings led by the Manager on Duty
Required
  • Professional appearance, punctuality, and attendance
  • Positive attitude and teamwork skills
  • Opening and closing duties as required
  • Job knowledge, productivity, policy adherence, sanitation, and safety compliance
  • Guest satisfaction focus and strong communication abilities
  • Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent (state or county licensee or certification requirement)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of restaurant operations and seating procedures
  • Entry-level understanding of retail operations, problem solving, diplomacy, and organization
  • Ability to seat guests rapidly while maintaining service efficiency
  • Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred
  • Point of Sales knowledge, preferably MICROS
  • Experience handling VIP customers
  • Prior Customer Service/Host experience
