The Role

The HR Generalist provides hands-on, execution-focused support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring HR processes are delivered accurately, consistently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this role is responsible for administering HR programs, supporting day-to-day people operations, and serving as a reliable operational resource for employees and managers. The HR Generalist also plays a key role in shaping company culture through employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and events that strengthen team connections and workplace satisfaction.

What

You’ll Do
  • Execute full-cycle recruitment, from developing job descriptions and posting positions to conducting interviews, checking references, and coordinating gaming industry background checks and licensing requirements
  • Coordinate comprehensive onboarding programs including I-9 verification, benefits enrollment, gaming licensing applications, and new hire orientation to set employees up for success from day one
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns, conducting investigations and providing coaching to managers on HR policies, performance issues, and workplace matters
  • Partner in the design and execution of culture-building initiatives including employee recognition programs, team events, wellness activities, and celebrations that strengthen connections and drive engagement across all levels of the organization
  • Support performance management processes, including facilitating reviews, assisting with performance improvement plans, and identifying training and development opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Nevada labor laws (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, workers’ compensation) and gaming industry regulations through accurate recordkeeping, regular audits, and proper documentation
  • Administer employee benefits programs, serving as liaison with brokers and third-party providers, coordinating open enrollment, and resolving benefits issues
  • Plan and execute employee recognition programs and other engagement initiatives
  • Maintain and optimize Paychex HRIS system to ensure all modules and functionality are being utilized to maximize the employee experience
  • Administer leave programs (FMLA, disability, workers’ compensation, military) and manage offboarding processes including exit interviews, final paychecks, and COBRA continuation

  • Turnover rates stabilize or improve through effective onboarding, employee engagement, and retention initiatives
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or related field
