We are looking for an HR and Events Coordinator & that will play a key role in shaping and enhancing the employee experience. This person is responsible for planning and executing internal initiatives related to social and life events, internal communications, training and development, wellness, as well as community engagement and corporate giving. The role also includes front-desk responsibilities such as greeting visitors and answering phone calls.

What

You’ll Do Internal Events & Company Culture
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate company events (team activities, seasonal celebrations, social gatherings, etc.)
  • Manage and acknowledge employee life events such as births, weddings, bereavements, retirements, and other key milestones
  • Act as a culture ambassador by proposing and implementing initiatives that foster engagement and belonging
  • Celebrate employee achievements and promote a positive workplace environment
Internal Communications
  • Create and distribute engaging internal communications (newsletters, posters, intranet content, internal campaigns, etc.)
  • Ensure clear and consistent messaging that reflects the company’s culture and values
  • Support leaders and managers in their internal communications efforts
Community Engagement, Donations & Volunteering
  • Manage requests for corporate donations and sponsor ships in alignment with company values and priorities
  • Coordinate volunteer and community initiatives, such as holiday donation drives, food baskets, and employee-led giving campaigns

    Engage employees in meaningful activities that connect them with the community and promote social impact
Training & Development Support
  • Coordinate logistics for internal training programs (registrations, calendars, communication, follow-ups)
  • Contribute to skill-building and employee development projects
  • Support employee recognition initiatives
Workplace Wellness
  • Support the implementation of wellness initiatives and programs that promote work-life balance and mental health
  • Identify employee needs through feedback and propose concrete well-being actions (surveys, health activities, wellness resources)
Back-up Reception & Front Desk Support
  • Greet visitors and ensure they are welcomed professionally
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Provide general administrative support related to office logistics and communication
Requirements
  • Required Bilingualism (English and Spanish)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience;
  • Background in Human Resources & Administration or related field (an asset).
  • Creative and proactive with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong customer service orientation providing a cheerful and helpful experience.
  • Comfortable managing confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to handle multiple priorities independently.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Dynamic, positive and energetic approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with tools like Canva, Mailchimp, or expense management platforms is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or an HRIS (an asset);
