HR Generalist / Recruiter – Paratransit
Transdev in North Las Vegas, Nevada is hiring a Human Resources Generalist for our Paratransit location. The role supports the management team with full‑cycle recruiting and other HR responsibilities. We are seeking customer‑service‑oriented professionals dedicated to safety.
Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation package: $66,000–$70,000.
- Vacation: minimum 2 weeks
- Sick days: 5 days
- Holidays: 12 days (8 standard, 4 floating)

- Full‑cycle recruiting for drivers and staff: review applications, schedule and conduct interviews, manage hiring through Jobvite.
- Prepare and maintain employee files, including new hire EEO/AAP and onboarding documentation.
- Manage payroll, leaves of absence, and FMLA tracking for assigned employees.
- Educate employees on benefits and HR policies.
- Ensure compliance with background checks, drug/alcohol screens, and E‑Verify.
- Support internal and external employee transfers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent education/experience considered.
- Knowledge of HR strategies and practices: recruitment, compliance, employee relations, performance management, compensation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to draft professional correspondence and present information effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS (ADP preferred) and Applicant Tracking Systems (Jobvite preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Flexible and customer‑service oriented, committed to supporting employees and passengers professionally.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable (per 49 CFR Part 40; Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, prohibited).
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances on possible sloped ground or uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds; lift up to 50 lbs.; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
