Summary Of Job
Reporting to VP, Procurement at LVGP and the Associate Director of IT at Formula 1, the IT Director at Las Vegas Grand Prix will play a key leadership role in shaping and executing the Las Vegas Grand Prix Information Technology strategy. This role will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of all IT systems, infrastructure, and initiatives for Las Vegas Grand Prix, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives as part of the Formula 1 group.
The IT Infrastructure encompasses both corporate office technology as well as live event and conference technology for the Grand Prix Plaza and the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix event. The IT Director will lead a small team of technology professionals, collaborate with other departments, and leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency and support the organization's growth.
IT Services
- Manage the Las Vegas Grand Prix IT team to support business requirements across all sites, including LVGP offices, the Grand Prix Plaza, and Las Vegas Grand Prix warehouse.
- Liaise with Formula 1 IT and Information Security teams to ensure parity with the Formula 1 group technology standards, policies and procedures.
- Provide strategic direction for Information Technology at Las Vegas Grand Prix, in consultation with Formula 1 IT and Information Security teams.
- Deliver Formula 1 group enterprise applications ensuring they meet the requirements of Las Vegas Grand Prix.
- Deliver Las Vegas Grand Prix enterprise applications in collaboration with other departments.
- Serve as the point of escalation for IT support of Las Vegas Grand Prix employees, sites and services.
- Evaluate and mitigate any open identified technology risks.
- Own compliance controls in line with Sarbanes–Oxley governance and be responsible for reporting risks to audit.
- Vendor Management and Procurement
- Working with Formula 1 guidance, procure technology equipment and services.
- Define statements of works for IT services.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and key third party technology providers.
- Responsible for vendor management, maintaining regular cadence, and ensuring vendors are meeting defined SLAs.
- Coordinate with the Race and Event Operations teams, and with key vendors on temporary event technology.
- Provide strategic input on how technology can be leveraged to enhance the fan experience during race weekend.
- Coordinate with Formula 1 IT and Information Security teams on all applicable race-event operations.
- Coordinate with telecom service providers.
- Provide IT facilities for temporary event staff.
- Work with Formula 1 and third parties to ensure highly available and redundant infrastructure.
- Deliver the IT requirements of the Grand Prix Plaza teams and key vendors.
- Work with Formula 1 and third parties to ensure highly available and redundant infrastructure.
- Work with partners on technology for permanent exhibits within the building and provide on-site IT support.
- Provide strategic input on how technology can support the guest experience and drive margin and revenue.
- Manage IT staffing of the Grand Prix Plaza building for events and conferences.
- Work with the Grand Prix Plaza teams to ensure availability of up-stream dependencies such as power and cooling.
- 8 or more years of experience in IT, with 3 or more years of experience at a Manager level or higher
