Data Analyst, Business Systems/ Tech Analyst
The Senior Analytics Manager will lead the organization’s data, reporting, and analytics strategy with a strong emphasis on Tableau-driven dashboards, data visualization, and advanced analytics to enable data-driven decision-making across the business. This role is responsible for the design, development, governance, and scalability of analytics solutions that support both short-term execution and long-term strategic objectives.
This leader will act as a bridge between technical teams and executive leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights. The role partners cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain, Fuel, IT, and DBA teams in a high-volume convenience retail environment.
Core Responsibilities Strategic Leadership- Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise analytics strategy aligned with long-term company goals
- Own and evolve reporting architecture, dashboard standards, data storytelling best practices, and analytics governance
- Design, build, and maintain executive-level Tableau dashboards supporting operational, financial, pricing, margin, and strategic decision-making
- Ensure dashboards deliver strong usability, performance, scalability, and compelling visual storytelling for both executive and operational audiences
- Lead the development of pricing, margin, performance, and forecasting dashboards balancing competitive positioning, regulatory compliance, and profitability
- Oversee the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics, including statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI-based forecasting where appropriate
- Translate complex analytical outputs into concise business recommendations for senior leadership
- Establish and enforce data governance standards related to data quality, integrity, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA where applicable)
- Partner closely with IT and DBA teams to ensure optimized data models, scalable data warehouses, and high-performing Tableau environments (extracts, refresh schedules, automation)
- Serve as a trusted analytics partner to senior leaders and the C-suite, communicating insights in simple, actionable formats
- Manage and prioritize large-scale analytics initiatives and ad-hoc requests, ensuring measurable business impact
- Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams of analysts and analytics professionals
- Promote self-service analytics while maintaining strong governance and data quality
- Foster a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or a related quantitative field
- MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in analytics or data roles
- 2+ years in leadership or people-management capacity
- Experience in convenience retail, fuel, FMCG, or other high-volume environments strongly preferred
- Programming & Data:
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel, VBA, macro (Python a plus) - Visualization:
Expert-level experience with Tableau (Power BI or Looker a plus), including executive reporting, performance optimization, and data storytelling - Data Infrastructure:
Familiarity with modern cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, or similar environments - Analytics:
Strong foundation in data modeling, forecasting, and performance measurement
- Strong critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior and cross-functional stakeholders
