Technical Writer, Systems Analyst
Reports To: VP of IT Operations and Engineering
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly driven and technically skilled Technical Engineering Analyst to support the definition, documentation, and execution of product and engineering initiatives. In this role, you will translate business objectives into clear technical requirements, support sprint execution, maintain documentation, and help ensure clarity across engineering, product, and external partners. This position requires exceptional ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to turn complex problems into execution‑ready solutions.

In-person in Las Vegas, NV, 89103:
Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
- Own the end‑to‑end creation of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs).
- Translate business goals into actionable, engineering‑ready requirements and user stories.
- Define functional flows, acceptance criteria, and non‑functional requirements.
- Create, maintain, and manage Jira epics, user stories, tasks, and defects.
- Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, prioritization, and delivery tracking with engineering and project management.
- Maintain technical documentation including data flow diagrams, integration designs, UML workflows, and system interaction models.
- Lead or participate in technical discussions, requirement walkthroughs, and solution reviews.
- Act as liaison between engineering teams, product leadership, and external partners.
- Own and maintain technical knowledge bases and documentation repositories (e.g., Confluence).
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies before they impact delivery.
- Demonstrated experience writing BRDs, FRDs, detailed user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Hands‑on experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience working with API integrations, data workflows, or platform products.
- Strong skills with Jira and backlog management.
- Familiarity with diagramming tools (Lucidchart, Draw.io, Visio, etc.).
- Ability to work directly with engineers on technical designs and trade‑offs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify the complex.
- At least 4 years in a Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Product Delivery role.
- Experience working with third‑party vendors or integration partners.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable knowledge management systems.
- Ability to create architectural‑level documentation without unnecessary process overhead.
