The Role
We are seeking an IT Data Center Operations Analyst to support live production data center environments. This role focuses on floor space management, rack infrastructure coordination, hardware installation, DCIM tools, inventory ownership, and operational reporting. This is a hands‑on role requiring experience in a live production data center environment.
Key Accountabilities- Perform periodic inspections of assigned data centers to ensure policy compliance
- Manage floor space allocation and rack infrastructure build‑outs
- Support hardware installations, decommissions, and moves (IMAC activities)
- Generate and communicate Data Center operational metrics
- Manage data center inventory and asset tracking
- Communicate data center standards, policies, and processes across teams
- Coordinate with cross‑functional IT teams and vendors for capacity planning and scalability
- Install, maintain, and repair data center hardware
- Act as first‑level support for data center owned hardware
- Perform data gathering and provide reporting for IT projects
- Assist leadership with continuous improvement initiatives
- Support production and non‑production environments
- Maintain knowledge of current data center technologies
- Support data backups and related tools within the data center
- Ensure production activities are completed accurately and on time
- Previous experience in a live production Data Center
- Experience with DCIM tools (NLYTE is highly preferred)
- Strong understanding of Rack & Stack, cable management
- Floor space management experience
- CAD or Visio for infrastructure diagrams
- Ability to prioritize workflow in a fast‑paced environment
- Inventory management experience
