ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Periodic inspections of assigned data centers to ensure policies are being upheld
• Responsible for floor space allocations and related rack and rack peripheral infrastructure build-out to accommodate hardware installations and moves
• Responsible for generating and communicating Data Center metrics
• Responsible for the management of data center operations and owned inventory
• Communicates provisions of data center policies and standards to the corporation and facilitates customer understanding of processes and procedures
• Plans and coordinates with various cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure present and future capacity/scalability

Previous data center experience in a live production data center, DCIM tools are critical, NLYTE, CAD, Visio, and the ability to prioritize workflow

• Supports data center infrastructure by installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware to accommodate Data Center growth
• Act as first-level support to the data center-owned hardware
• Performs data gathering and analysis, and provides basic summary reporting in support of information technology projects
• Assists more senior analysts and IT management in evaluating implemented solutions and practices for continuous improvements
• Performs a variety of tasks in support of the data centers and must be able to work in a goal-setting environment
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of information systems technology
• Works with users, cross-functional technical staffs and all levels of management to translate requirements to develop processes and procedures
• Works with other operations and system management personnel to ensure accuracy and timeliness of production and non-production activities
• Provides support for data backups and specific software products and tools deployed within the data center
