New Gig Solutions is partnering with a premier Las Vegas-based enterprise organization to identify an Engineer I – IBM iSeries / Power Systems professional who wants to grow their career inside a high-availability, mission‑critical environment.

What You’ll Be Responsible ForYou will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing IBM iSeries / Power Systems environments, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
Core Responsibilities:Administer, maintain, and support IBM iSeries / Power Systems hardware and software
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, OS, performance, and application issues
Manage incidents and service requests through a ticketing system
Plan and implement system upgrades, patches (PTFs), and hardware improvements
Monitor system performance and deliver reporting metrics
Maintain file system shares, permissions, and security controls
Validate and manage system backups and disaster recovery processes
Maintain a test environment that mirrors production
Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders on implementations and upgrades
Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule
This is a hands‑on role where you will directly impact uptime, performance, and operational continuity.
What We’re Looking For1+ year of IBM iSeries / Power Systems administration experience
Experience with system access, security, and auditing tools such as:
IBM Client Access
Navigator
BRMS
iSecurity
Help Systems
Related utilities
Associate degree in MIS or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to work independently
Experience in structured, enterprise environments preferred
IBM technical certifications (System Administration 7.1+) are a plus
You must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to obtain required regulatory registrations.

Compensation:$130,000-$145,000 per year
