About the Role
The Lead Data Center Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of enterprise-scale data center environments. This role ensures high availability, performance, scalability, and security across business-critical infrastructure.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, providing advanced support across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and data center facilities. This role also serves as an escalation point for complex incidents and plays a key part in maintaining disaster recovery readiness.
About YouOperate and maintain production data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization platforms)
Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex incidents and drive root cause resolution
Act as an escalation point for critical issues impacting availability or performance
Support and test high availability and disaster recovery strategies
Partner with engineering, facilities, security, and vendors to ensure operational stability
Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and documentation
Identify and implement automation opportunities, including AI-enabled tools, to improve efficiency and diagnostics
8+ years of data center experience, including 4+ years in a dedicated Data Center Administrator (or similar) role
Hands-on experience in enterprise-scale environments
Strong expertise across:
Compute (rack/blad servers, OS-level troubleshooting)
Storage (SAN/NAS)
Networking (switching, routing fundamentals)
Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
Proven ability to lead incident response and troubleshoot under pressure
Experience with high availability and disaster recovery environments
Strong ownership mindset and sound technical judgment
Comfort working independently while collaborating across teams
Interest in leveraging automation and AI tools to improve operations

The pay range for this position is $63,900 to $91,800. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
