Classified Systems Administrator

Job Summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Classified System Administrator to join our growing team at Creech AFB, NV. The successful candidate will support the initial stand‑up and sustainment of the Air Force’s first Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) unit, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of EOU information technology (IT) systems. The role involves developing unit IT doctrine, personnel construct, facilities and policy concepts related to CCA and working closely with engineers, operators and analysts.

• Support the USAF’s newest weapon system by assisting in the development of unit IT doctrine, personnel construct, facilities, and policy concepts related to CCA.
• Perform IT processes and support requirements for assigned experiments and coordinate infrastructure requirements (logical addressing/routing/firewall modifications) for secure communications.
• Coordinate and support virtual teleconference capabilities for multidisciplinary teams.
• Operate as a classified IT professional, assisting the local government security professional and the Project Manager in all classified IT duties.
• Maintain operational integrity of all computers, printers, phones, VTC (video teleconferencing), and other IT equipment to support directed experimentation activities.
• Provide basic professional public speaking skills for indoctrination/debriefs, proofreading, data entry, and organizational tasks.

• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in systems administration with 5+ years of experience providing IT support for SAP and/or SCI information systems.
• Security+ with continuing education certificate.
• Demonstrated support capabilities – installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and providing maintenance and training in response to customer requirements (e.g., tiered-level customer support) including patch management, access control, password management and account creation and administration.
• Strong team‑oriented leadership and customer interface skills.
• Experience with Cyber Systems development, sustainment, and baseline planning.
• Compliance with DoDD 8570 certification – IAT Level II.
• Good analytic and troubleshooting skills, capable of network and system assessment and resolution.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a demanding environment.
• Strong work ethic and verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with occasional shift work.

• Network+ and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certifications.
• At least 5 years of recent experience (within the last five years) providing support for exercise, experimentation, or test on the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of military platforms, systems, and operations.
• Experience working on‑site in a government client environment.

Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of experience or Associate’s degree plus 14 years of experience.

• TS clearance with in‑scope SSBI.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SCI/SAP/STO clearances; current SCI desired.
• All hires contingent on meeting required security clearance requirements.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Routine travel not expected but may be required based on mission requirements.
• Non‑traditional work hours at times.
• Work performed onsite; occasional telework options may be available with approval.
