Rush City Schools seeks a full-time (1.0) Technology Coordinator.
C.E. Jacobson Elementary School and Rush City High School are the buildings served under this role.
The Technology Coordinator oversees the school's technology infrastructure, operations, and support services to ensure technology effectively supports academic and administrative goals. This role manages technology systems, budgeting, and implementation of secure and reliable technology solutions across the school community.
Technology Leadership & Administration- Develop and implement technology plans aligned with the school's mission and goals.
- Oversee technology infrastructure, systems security, and daily operations.
- Manage technology budgets, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
- Analyze system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with school leadership and technology committees on strategic initiatives.
- Project management
- Maintain inventory of technology equipment and software.
- Support classroom technology integration and instructional initiatives.
- Assist with hardware, software, phone systems, surveillance, and network installation and maintenance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for faculty, staff, and students.
- Assist with hardware, software, and network installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with educators to promote developmentally appropriate and effective uses of technology.
- Support school-wide events, programs, and initiatives requiring technology assistance.
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Networking, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing technology systems, networks, and infrastructure.
- Supervisory or project management experience.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, network administration, and technology operations.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical technology support tasks.
- Experience with network administration and oversight
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under detailed, quick timelines
- Experience in an independent school or K–12 environment.
- Familiarity with instructional technology platforms and student information systems.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on technical support.
- Confidentiality at all times.
This role involves both office-based and hands‑on technical work in a collaborative school environment with regular interaction with students and staff.
Salary commensurate with experience, up to $90,000 annually.
