Database Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Database Administrator to join our team in Las Vegas. As a Junior Database Administrator you will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability and performance of our database systems, and will assist in troubleshooting and resolving any database-related issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database management systems, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience in the field of database administration.

• Install and configure database software
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Perform regular backups and test disaster recovery procedures
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data
• Create and maintain documentation on database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth integration of databases with other systems
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in database administration

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or Oracle
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages like Python or Perl
• Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling techniques
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

$1300 per month, negotiable based on experience.
