Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Sr Analyst – HRIS is to manage Workday HCM and provide functional and technical expertise to business users. The Sr Analyst – HRIS serves as the primary point of contact for business users with Workday HCM production troubleshooting support, enhancements, and ad hoc reporting needs.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day administration of core Workday functions (recruiting, onboarding, HR, learning) to ensure HR processes flow smoothly.
  • Build custom reports to support business operations.
  • Train others on basic reporting issues and needs.
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement minor enhancements in absence, time‑off, scheduling, benefits, and payroll processes.
  • Maintain system security roles and assignments and perform routine user management to grant appropriate privileged access in Workday for consultants and employees.
  • Implement and manage new Workday integrations and troubleshoot production integration processes.
  • Assist HR in utilizing Workday optimally and participate in regular training of users on new features and enhancements.
  • Provide transactional assistance to the Sands HCM team as needed.
  • Identify issues with system configuration and make recommendations for improvement of system functionality.
  • Maintain subject‑matter expertise in assigned functional areas and support the organization in understanding and executing best practices.
  • Manage and support Workday upgrades in assigned functional areas through review, adoption of new features, and regression testing.
  • Understand and comply with Sands’ change management and information governance processes.
  • Prioritize work based on management direction and business priorities.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including procedural manuals and HR department procedure/policy manuals.
  • Perform job duties in a safe manner.
  • Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting HR, with at least 2 years using Workday.
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday recruiting, onboarding, HR, and learning modules.
  • Experience with benefits, absence, time tracking, and payroll modules is a plus.
  • Must be highly skilled in configuring Workday business processes, calculated fields, and condition rules.
  • Prior system administration and support of a global HRIS and familiarity with GDPR is a plus.
  • Experience with process improvement and exploration of opportunities to enhance quality and productivity.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with developing custom reports using Workday reporting tools.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of XML and XSLT is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work remotely as necessary.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
  • Utilize laptop and standard keyboard to perform essential functions of the job.
