Audio/Visual (A/V) Systems Engineer 2
HII's Mission Technologies division is seeking an Audio/Visual (A/V) Systems Engineer to work on a team executing integration efforts on the Modeling, Simulation, and Training environment at the Virtual Test and Training Center (VTTC) supporting the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) team, at Nellis, NV. This position supports mission-critical audio/visual (A/V) infrastructure within a secure government environment.
The ideal candidate will possess robust experience in enterprise-level A/V systems, networked media distribution, and real-time event support while maintaining a strict adherence to security standards. This role is pivotal to ensuring seamless A/V functionality for high-visibility meetings, operational briefs, and real-time command support.
The responsibilities include applying comprehensive knowledge of A/V systems, performing detailed end-to-end signal flow diagnostics, supporting live events, maintaining and supporting A/V-over-IP deployments, utilizing basic networking concepts, communicating effectively with users and leadership, maintaining and updating system configurations, diagrams, and asset inventories, and implementing best practices and adhering to information assurance policies.
The required qualifications include 2 years relevant experience with a Bachelors in a related field; 0 years experience with a Masters in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience. Candidates must have prior experience or certification in Evertz environments, particularly within MMA
10G-based architectures, meet DoD 8140 baseline IA Technical qualifications or higher, be familiar with signal routing and timing in mixed digital environments, have hands-on experience configuring and deploying Dante-enabled devices, have knowledge of secure hardware integration practices in compartmentalized networks and SCIF environments, have an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months, and be a US Citizen.
