We are hiring a highly skilled Database Administrator for a contract position in Las Vegas USA As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our companys databases to ensure efficient and secure storage of information Your main duties will include monitoring database performance troubleshooting issues and implementing security measures to safeguard our data To excel in this role you should have a solid understanding of database management systems and be familiar with various database languages such as SQL and Oracle Additionally you should possess excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Responsibilities- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Ensure data integrity by performing regular data audits
- Create user accounts and manage user permissions
- Identify security vulnerabilities and implement appropriate measures to protect data
- Collaborate with other team members to develop efficient database solutions
- Stay updated on industry developments and recommend improvements to current systems
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of database management systems eg MySQL SQL Server
- Familiarity with database languages such as SQL and Oracle
- Experience in data backup recovery security and performance monitoring
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred

This position offers a competitive salary of 1400$ per month
