Azure DevSecOps Engineer

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a highly experienced Azure Dev Sec Ops  Lead Consultant to join a large-scale digital transformation and eCommerce modernization initiative. This individual will serve as the central technical authority between application development, infrastructure, security, and deployment teams, helping establish, refine, and govern Dev Sec Ops  practices across a complex Azure environment.

This is not a role for someone who needs direction. The ideal candidate will bring deep Azure Dev Sec Ops  expertise, quickly assess the current state, identify gaps, define best practices, and lead teams through implementation. They will act as both a strategic advisor and hands-on technical leader.

• Assess existing Azure Dev Sec Ops  processes, pipelines, and deployment methodologies and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes across development, QA, and production environments.
• Establish Dev Sec Ops  best practices for Azure-based applications and integrations.
• Guide application development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure consistent deployment standards.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on Azure Dev Sec Ops , providing technical leadership and direction across multiple work streams.
• Define remediation plans for identified process, security, or deployment gaps and drive execution through completion.
• Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to improve release management, automation, and environment governance.
• Review and optimize infrastructure-as-code implementations, deployment automation, and Azure resource provisioning.
• Ensure secure movement of code and infrastructure changes across environments.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance when teams encounter implementation challenges.

Drive accountability across stakeholders by assigning and tracking ownership of Dev Sec Ops  improvements.

• 8+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Dev Sec Ops , Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Deep expertise designing and implementing Azure Dev Sec Ops  pipelines and deployment frameworks.
• Strong experience with:
  Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD pipeline design and automation. Infrastructure as Code, Azure Resource Management, Azure security and governance practices
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise application implementations or transformations. (at least $3-5M+ program)
• Ability to evaluate existing environments and independently define best-practice solutions.
• Proven ability to influence engineers, architects, infrastructure teams, and external partners.
• Experience supporting SaaS-based implementations or enterprise platform transformations.
• Background in eCommerce platforms and integrations.
• Experience with middleware architectures connecting SaaS platforms and backend ERP systems.
• Familiarity with: .NET, Logic Apps, API Management, Next.js, Vercel
• Willingness to travel approx. 2x/year
