Client Overview:

Our client, a global technology organization, is seeking a hands‑on Field Services/Desktop Support Technician to support day‑to‑day IT operations at a client site in the Las Vegas area. This is a 7-month guaranteed contract and an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional with experience in desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, deployments, networking, and end‑user support. Rate:

$20/hr - $25/hr (DOE)

Position Overview:

The Field Services/Desktop Support Technician will provide hands‑on, onsite technical support for laptops, desktops, printers, networking equipment, A/V systems, and other IT hardware. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, completing break/fix requests, deploying equipment, managing support tickets, and ensuring end users receive timely and professional IT support. The ideal candidate has a strong technical support background, is comfortable troubleshooting both hardware and software issues, and enjoys working in a hands‑on environment.

Candidates must be able to work onsite in the Las Vegas area five days per week.

Responsibilities of the Field Services/Desktop Support Technician:
  • Provide hands‑on desktop and field services support for laptops, desktops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot Windows hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Perform break/fix support, equipment deployments, installations, and replacements.
  • Configure and support laptops, desktops, printers, handheld devices, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot basic network and Wi‑Fi connectivity issues.
  • Provide support for conference room A/V and video conferencing equipment.
  • Monitor and manage incidents and service requests through ITSM/ticketing systems.
  • Install, move, and replace IT equipment as needed.
  • Assist with hardware inventory, asset tracking, and equipment management.
  • Document completed work and

  • Follow established SOPs, runbooks, and technical procedures.
  • Assist with root‑cause troubleshooting and recurring technical issues.
Required Experience/Skills for the Field Services/Desktop Support Technician:
  • 3 - 5+ years of desktop support, field services, IT support, or related technical experience.
  • Strong Windows 11 troubleshooting skills.
  • Hands‑on laptop and desktop hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience supporting printers and peripheral devices.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, connectivity, and ports.
  • Experience working with ITSM or ticketing systems.
  • Strong hardware break/fix and deployment experience.
  • Ability to follow technical documentation and established procedures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a hands‑on technical environment.
  • Must be available to work 100% onsite in Las Vegas, NV.
Preferred Experience /Skills for the Field Services/Desktop Support Technician:
  • Experience with SCCM, IT Shop, Nexthink, or similar endpoint management and support tools.
  • Experience supporting Cisco video conferencing or A/V equipment.
  • Familiarity with telephony support.
  • Experience supporting HP or Lexmark printers.
  • Exposure to data center, enterprise infrastructure, or hardware environments.
  • Experience with equipment deployment, inventory, and asset management.
  • Basic server, cabling, or data center support experience is a plus.
Education Requirements:
  • Associate's degree, technical certification, or IT‑related education is preferred.
