Litigation Legal Assistant

Howard & Howard is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our Las Vegas, NV office. This full-time position offers a dynamic opportunity to support attorneys and paralegals across all stages of litigation matters, with emphasis in intellectual property litigation, commercial and business litigation. We’re looking for a candidate who brings professionalism, discretion, and strong organizational skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across all levels of the firm.

A commitment to accuracy, multitasking, and confidentiality is essential. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

• Managing attorney calendars, dockets, and appointments
• Coordinating frequent and complex travel arrangements
• Handling electronic court filings in both state and federal jurisdictions
• Handling filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
• Screening and responding to client communications
• Drafting and preparing emails, reports, and confidential documents
• Maintaining client files in Net Docs and physical formats
• Supporting Attorneys' billing processes
• Providing backup support to fellow legal assistants
• Performing additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of working experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in state and federal e-filing procedures and trial preparation
• Experience with USPTO electronic filing systems (EFS‑Web or Patent Center)
• Knowledge of patent and trademark docketing workflows and deadlines
• Experience working with docketing software (e.g., CPI, Foundation IP, Anaqua)
• Ability to manage high-volume workloads with accuracy
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
